PPP Name Change Adopted at Annual Meeting

cgp-logoPartnership for Philanthropic Planning has made it official. As of October 2016, its new name is National Association of Charitable Gift Planners (CGP). After an online election in May 2016, the overwhelming majority of PPP councils approved the change.

In an online letter to its members, president and CEO Michael Kenyon explained that the new name is a part of a rebranding initiative, which includes a new logo, increased access through its new website and the creation of an online community of gift planners. Kenyon explains, “With the increasing diversity of development officers and allied professionals practicing charitable gift planning, we need to allow for members to engage, learn and share within like-minded groups as well as network with the broader charitable gift planning community.”
