What’s in Your Gift Planning Library?
2018 has seen several changes for gift planners, beginning with major changes to the tax law under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. In addition, the American Council on Gift Annuities (ACGA) recently recommended new maximum rates for charitable gift annuities. The combination of these changes along with high federal discount rates may have made many of your gift planning communication tools for donors obsolete. Sharpe Group has been updating all publications and Gift Planning Websites with the new tax law, gift annuity rates and examples that incorporate new, higher federal discount rates that in many cases serve to increase the amount of income tax deductions.
How do I know if the Sharpe Group gift planning library I currently have is up to date?
If you currently have copies of Sharpe Group booklets and brochures that you ordered before 2018, you can check to see if they are up to date by clicking here.
I don’t have any donor communications with tax law information or gift annuity rates, but this would be a great opportunity to have those on hand. How do I obtain them?
You can review the full Sharpe library of donor booklets and brochures by clicking here. Materials can be ordered online, by mail or by telephone at 901-680-5300. Please note that, based on inventory, some titles may not be available immediately. Here are some titles that specifically address tax reform and charitable gift annuities.
