Academy General Description

The Sharpe Virtual Gift Planning Academy provides a budget-friendly way to learn about gift planning for major current and deferred gifts without leaving your office. Development officers of all levels of experience and ability will find value in each offering. The presentations and discussions provide a “light” version of our more comprehensive in-person seminars.

Registration is $295 for each Academy course, and recordings are available for an additional cost of $95 to registrants for 30 days after the seminar. Each Sharpe Virtual Gift Planning Academy module contains four educational sessions presented over two days to fit your busy schedule and provides basic knowledge taught by experts without costly travel expenses.

Both days will include two hours of live presentation by Sharpe’s faculty of experienced consultants. Each session is designed to be interactive, with opportunities to ask questions of the Sharpe panel of experts.

Each Virtual Academy course provides four CFRE Hours. Those completing all three (for a total of 12 CFRE Hours) will receive a Sharpe Virtual Gift Planning Academy Certificate.

Blending and Integrating Gifts

Successful fundraising strategies have become increasingly influenced by the age and wealth of donors rather than the size, timing and use of gifts. For those responsible for major gifts, planned gifts or both, it is all the more important to understand the blended gift strategy when working with donors. This Academy will offer valuable insights for working with those most likely to make current and deferred major gifts and how to help them structure their gifts in ways that benefit everyone involved.
