I found my passion for working with nonprofits as a career later in life.
Making the switch from the for-profit world, I had a desire to redirect my legacy and leave the world better than I found it.
My newest client is a faith-based organization primarily located in the Middle East and Eastern Africa with a threefold mission:
- Sponsoring orphans.
- Refugee recovery.
- Disciple making.
For us, scheduling meetings and calls can be challenging because of the nine-hour time zone difference. For them, the challenges are a little more serious: needing to move from time to time for their own and their group’s safety.
This experience has led me to the realization that it is not just about the impact I can make over the next few years but, instead, how my time and talents can best be used to further the missions of the organizations we work with.
As we partner together and develop strategies for their long-term sustainability, I am grateful for the opportunity to help them make the world a better place.
What better legacy is there than that?
