New Year’s Resolutions from the Sharpe Team

The Sharpe Team kicks off a new year with their own personal resolutions.

Will Dixon

Create one art piece a month and increase my proficiency with some of Adobe’s new suite programs.

Grant Miller

  1. Better recognize when “perfectionism” is really just procrastination.
  2. Learn more about nontraditional planned giving vehicles, such as the qualified terminal interest property trust with a charitable remainder.
  3. Accept and embrace meetings that could’ve been emails.
  4. Never arrive at Aldi without a quarter.
  5. Schedule creative time like it’s an important meeting—which it is.
  6. Do a little more of nothing when possible.

Brenda Gunner

  1. Teach my canine doorbells that every noise is not an emergency.
  2. Focus on refinement: strengthen what I already do well and improve where I need to.
  3. Schedule fun like it’s a responsibility!

Bob Mims

ChatGPT told me that new year’s resolutions were not necessary and ChatGPT would just tell me everything I need to be doing this year.

Ashley McHugh

  1. Run more miles in 2026—less on pavement and more on trails.
  2. Learn how to make homemade gnocchi.
  3. Because of Number 2, see Number 1.

Teri Sullivan

  1. Spend some time each day coloring and putting together jigsaw puzzles.
  2. Grant grace to people, including myself.
  3. Be of service to nonprofit organizations because I believe they make the world a better place.
