While sometimes it’s tempting to create brand-new resolutions at the beginning of the New Year, most of the time it’s best to resolve to improve on a practice or habit you already have in place.
For 2024, my recommendation is to make your planned giving website the best it can be. Here are some simple tips to maximize your site:
Don’t bury the navigation. Your planned giving audience is primarily made up of those who didn’t grow up with the internet and computers. Make sure those donors who aren’t computer savvy can find your site easily.
Make it visually interesting. Increase your exposure by placing planned giving information in carousels and content blocks.
Create interest. Highlight timely topics on your site by using e-marketing content links or via QR codes in printed materials.
Educate your donors. Use proprietary or shared planned giving articles as content marketing blogs and post them on social media to drive traffic.
Stay relevant. Creating inbound and outbound links from your planned giving website increases its relevancy score with search engines, increasing your searchability. â–
